Final days in Ghana

Every year, Karen Schell, a clinical assistant professor at KU Medical Center, takes much-needed respiratory care supplies to Ghana. She also works to support respiratory care education in the West African nation. This summer she is returning with students from the Respiratory Care Department at KU Medical Center, along with a team from Weber State.

Baby hats, donor gifts and venitilators ... we hit the ground running
Since we've arrived in Ghana, we've hit the ground running trying to get things done. Monday was filled with shopping in the local market, preparing gifts for our gracious donors, making hats for newborns in the nursery and working on ventilators. Then it was time for dinner prepared by headlamp.
All in all, it was a great day!
