Journey to Ghana

Every year, Karen Schell, a clinical assistant professor at KU Medical Center, takes much-needed respiratory care supplies to Ghana. She also works to support respiratory care education in the West African nation. This summer she is returning with students from the Respiratory Care Department at KU Medical Center, along with a team from Weber State.

Students jump in to teach and care for patients at St Patrick's Hospital in Offinso, Ghana.

Wheels touch down on in Ghana and volunteers begin to roll out

The group carried on in checked baggage over 3,000 pounds of donations to distribute the next few weeks.
