Every year, Karen Schell, a clinical assistant professor at KU Medical Center, takes much-needed respiratory care supplies to Ghana. She also works to support respiratory care education in the West African nation. This summer she is returning with students from the Respiratory Care Department at KU Medical Center, along with a team from Weber State.
People need to care about their community if they’re going to act for the benefit of their community. Most often it comes down to them caring about somebody in their community.
